We recently caught up with the one and only Pete Honoré to talk about his OE pedals! When he’s not busy demoing gear at Anderton’s , Pete’s otherwise occupied playing with some of the biggest pop artists on the planet such as: Tom Jones, Lionel Richie, Joss Stone, Il Divo, Nicole Scherzinger, Paloma Faith and many more!
You’ve had both Cali76 Compact Deluxe & RevivalDRIVE Compact for some time now, tell us about your experience with these pedals?
The Cali76 is perfect for anything from tight funk and beautiful clean chord sounds to getting that solo to shine and making that note bloom. I love the RevivalDRIVE Compact and the way it can get those slightly broken up notes and with the blend knob, I can get the perfect balance of the drive and clean signal, but it is also the way it can stack with my other drive pedals I really love… Or if I just want a sweet driven solo tone, not distortion but beautiful amp like gain it can do that too, it’s just a brilliant drive pedal.
Tell us how you have incorporated these pedals into your rig?
I use the Cali76 first in my chain, always have compression first, it helps me ad smoother and richer sound to my cleans, but also when I stack it with a drive pedal it makes the drive bloom and sustain the notes. The RevivalDRIVE Compact I use after my The Dane drive, so I will run the Dane into it, the boost side or the drive side and just works so well and has become my go to sounds since I got it!
