RevivalDRIVE Hot Rod Edition
Princeton Boogie: (Valve rectifier channel)
Inspired by the lead tones of Santana’s modded
Fender Princeton, these settings deliver a controlled,
mid focused overdrive sound. In the late 60s, Randall
Smith was hot rodding Fender Princeton combos for
more gain and sustain. This venture later turned into
MESA/Boogie.
Step into Boogie MK1 territory by transforming the
spongey simulated valve rectifier channel into a
harder sounding silicon rectifier using MODE DIP
switch 2.
Hot Rod Plexi: (Silicon rectifier channel)
Experience the soaring lead tones of a late 70s Plexi
modded with cascaded gain stages.
We’ve replicated the response of an early master
volume Marshall, a predecessor to the much loved
JCM800 series.
‘Snip’ the bright cap by moving the BRIGHT CAP
switch to the centre position, further modifying your
tone.
Orange Squash: (Valve rectifier channel)
Max out the VOLUME control with these settings
for pure power amp explosion! A powerful sound
reminiscent of a wall of cranked Orange stacks.
The sagging power stage in conjunction with the
simulated valve rectifier compresses each note and
adds harmonic complexity to sustained chords.
Liverpool Hot Rod: (Silicon rectifier channel)
Like an AC30 on steroids! We’ve voiced this
setting after the well respected Trainwreck
Liverpool amps which pushed the British EL84
design to the limit.
These settings provide a glassy lead tone with
ultra-sensitive dynamics. Assign some MID
BOOST to the SILICON RECTIFIER channel to
fatten up the sound of singlecoil pickups.
RevivalDRIVE Compact
Cali76 Compact Deluxe
Percussive & lively: A slow attack time
allows the compressor to accentuate the initial
transient of any given note. Fast release allows
the compressor to fully recover between notes,
so that every phrase and chord will take on a
percussive quality. Low ratio keeps compression
artefacts/distortion to a minimum.
Cali76 Compact Bass
Percussive, lively & fat: A slow attack time
allows the compressor to accentuate the initial
transient of any given note. Fast release allows
the compressor to fully recover between notes,
so that every phrase and chord will take on a
percussive quality. Low ratio keeps compression
artefacts/distortion to a minimum. High HPF
results in fattened low bass frequencies.
Dynamic control: Medium attack time allows
the compressor to catch transients early on
without becoming too aggressive. Medium
release time stops the compressor from
pumping. Compression is natural and levels
are balanced between various techniques.
Medium HPF setting results in honest
translation of low string player dynamics.
Parallel compression: A best of both worlds
approach! Blend compressed and dry signals
for increased sensitivity & sustain yet with a
full sense of dynamic integrity. For players who
want a sensitive feel without having the life
compressed out of their carefully crafted
dynamic playing style. HPF is disabled for
equal compression across all strings.
Cali76 Stacked Edition
Stacked compressors: Each compressor is set
up for a different task; the first gently evening
out dynamics and the second clamping down
and limiting peaks. A classic studio technique.
Adjust the Thru control to your instrument and
playing style. Start with the Thru control
anti-clockwise and turn it clockwise until loud
chords are limited causing the left VU meter to
glow brightly.
Clean overdrive: All the fun of an overdrive
without the distortion! Maximum sensitivity for
easy legato licks and sustain for days. Solos
project through the mix with full clarity and
tone.
As you turn up the In and Thru dials,
compression and sensitivity will increase, as
will pickup induced noise. This must be taken
into consideration, especially in a live scenario.
Always on: Compressors can fight your
dynamics - cranking up the dry knob gives you
back dynamic control. Known as ”parallel
compression”, this is an established studio
recording technique that allows you to combine
the tone thickening, increased sensitivity and
sustain of the compressed signal with the
natural dynamic expression in your playing.
So good you won't want to switch it off
SlideRIG Compact Deluxe Mk2
Conventional compression: Here we have
the blend dial set anti-clockwise for a single
stage of compression with a fast attack to catch
peaks and a slow release to avoid pumping.
Basically the same signal path as our Cali76
pedal. Great as a general guitar compressor, to
smooth out dynamics and make your guitar feel
a little more sensitive and alive. Ultra versatile.
Dual stage compression/limiting: Classic
SlideRIG dual-chained compression. Little Feat
tone! Your guitar will be ultra sensitive and
sustain will be vast. As you turn up the In dial,
compression & sensitivity will increase, as will
pickup induced noise. This must be taken into
consideration, especially in a live scenario. The
attack is set slow just like the original SlideRIG.
Parallel compression: A best of both worlds
approach! Blend compressed and dry signals
for increased sensitivity & sustain yet with a
full sense of dynamic integrity. For players who
want a fattened tone but without having the life
compressed out of their carefully crafted
dynamic playing style. Works well with guitar
volume pot swells.

Magma57
‘57 Vibrato: Inspired by sought-after Magnatone®
amplifiers from the 1950s, this setting combines edge-of breakup amp tone with classic pitch-modulating
vibrato to add thickness and movement to your
sound.
