The SlideRIG Compact Deluxe takes the transparent tone and incredible sustain of the original SlideRIG and packs it into a compact pedal.

A third of the size of the original, the SlideRIG Compact Deluxe also offers three times the tone-shaping potential thanks to its unique three-way parallel compression mix controls.

SlideRIG-CD Guitar Pedal Origin Effects Boutique Compressor Bottleneck Lapsteel Parallel Compression

Already legendary amongst slide players, the SlideRIG delivers clean infinite sustain in true Little Feat fashion. In the studio, Lowell George used a pair of 1176 compressors chained together to create his trademark tone – clean and shimmering, yet full, fat and dripping with sustain. The original SlideRIG pedal gave guitarists a more affordable, practical and portable way of replicating this tone, but now we’ve taken it even further.

This Is No One-Trick Pony – You’ll Be Using It On Everything!

More flexible than ever, the SlideRIG Compact Deluxe gives you access to conventional single-stage compression, as well as the SlideRIG’s trademark dual-stage compression. Using the pedal’s unique three-way mixer stage, you can blend in your dry, uncompressed signal alongside the single- and dual-stage compression signals!

This is parallel compression on steroids. Together with pedal’s high-current, low noise preamp and a revised gain structure that allows greater control over compression levels, the trio of blend controls yield limitless possibilities – transparency, dynamic integrity, squash, sustain… you name it!

SlideRIG Compact Deluxe SR-CD Studio Style dual-chained 1176 studio style Boutique Analogue Guitar Compressor Effects Pedal Lowell George Little Feat tone

The original SlideRIG is a compressor like no other, and not just because of its unique dual-chained design. Featuring discrete Class-A circuitry that’s true to the topology and design philosophy of the original 1176, the SlideRIG achieves the seemingly impossible by delivering not only more squash and sustain than any other compressor pedal but lower noise and greater tonal transparency too.

With the SlideRIG Compact Deluxe, we set out to provide the same performance and unique features as the original, while drastically reducing the pedal’s footprint and adding a powerful three-way mixer stage that brings parallel compression to the SlideRIG for the very first time. However, our design philosophy and attention to detail remain unchanged.

Like all of our Compact Series pedals, the SlideRig Compact features high-current, discrete, Class-A circuitry for transparent, low-noise performance. We’ve taken a no-compromise approach to the circuit design using only the best of modern components.

Rugged MELF resistors offer low noise performance and rock-solid reliability. Film and tantalum capacitors offer tight tolerances and superb linearity. Carefully chosen transistors biased at relatively high currents yield a distinct signal-to-noise advantage.

Please note: the SlideRIG Compact Deluxe is powered by a mains adaptor only (not included). We’ve dispensed with the usual 9V battery option, both to save space and to allow us to adopt a high-current approach, yielding lower noise levels and superior tone.

Origin Effects SlideRIG-CD Signal Flow Diagram

This simplified diagram shows the signal-flow within the SlideRIG Compact Deluxe compressor. The IN control adjusts the amount of signal hitting the compressors – turn it up for more compression! Use the STAGE 1, STAGE 2, and DRY controls like channel faders on a mixing desk and the OUT control like a master volume.

First impression out of the box: Rock solid construction. First impression on use: This compressor is everything i've longed for as a slide player. Incredibly flexible and adjustable. Sustain sustain sustain. Being able to blend the dry signal is fantastic. Separate in and out levels are great when switching from single coils to humbuckers (Strat to SG). Noiseless switching, no "pop" at all. It plays nicely with my other pedals.I love it.

Not sure how I survived so long without this wonderful pedal! Solid construction, and produces the best compression sound with endless sustain. Very flexible and easy to adjust. For a slide player, this would be an absolute "must have" pedal, and in my opinion, the best on the market.

Just to be clear, I'm NOT a slide player..... but I LOVE this pedal!!I'd been toying with the idea of a compressor for months and months but never quite saw the point to be honest. I watch That Pedal Show and saw the one about compressors and it made a little more sense to me so I started looking a bit harder and was tempted by the Cali76 Compact (slightly easier on the wallet) but saw some online videos of the Cali76 and Sliderig Compact Deluxes and was stunned at the effect. The Dry mix knob I think makes a pretty substantial difference between the Compact and Compact Deluxe and means that you don't have as much of the change in 'feel' in your guitar that a compressor without the dry mix has.Always been a sucker for sustain so was kind of drawn to the Sliderig although wasn't sure if it would be as effective for a non-slide player. I e-mailed OriginEffects and ended up calling where I spoke to Jack (he called me back at closing time on a Friday afternoon to answer my questions) and he linked me to some newer videos and I came across the one with Robbie McIntosh and pulled the trigger.Very impressed with it's construction out of the box and plugged it in and instantly and very easily got some killer clean tones just adjusting the pedal by ear rather than looking at the knobs. Everything from chicken picking spankiness to beautiful smooth sustain.I've been playing Orange Rockers for a few years now (The 30 and have recently got the new 32) and have always loved the clean channel with its no EQ...amazing pedal platform but this pedal made the clean sound beautiful without any other pedals and then I hit the channel switch by accident...... I've always been a bit at odds with the Rocker's dirty channel and have bought so many dirt pedals over the last couple of years to try and create a sound I like for bluesy tones (don't get me wrong it's a fantastic amp - I have 3 - the dirty channel is just not quite to my taste on it's own) but the settings I used on the Sliderig for the clean channel just perfectly tightened up and beautifully compressed (haha who'd have thunk?) the tones on the dirty channel!!!! It was like getting my hands on another new amp with beautiful, slightly breaking up tones with the perfect amount of grit and with the added sustain! I forgot to go back to work that afternoon.....Needless to say I'm an instant fan and whilst it may seem a little more expensive initially, I could have probably bought a couple of original 1176s and made my own Sliderig with the amount of cash I've spent on 'boutique' pedals in the search to get the tone I get with just this one pedal and my amp!!!!Slightly long-winded review but I am staggered by how good this pedal is. I play in covers band everything from laid back Jazz/Blues to hard rock and funk and when I use this pedal in all those styles it makes a huge difference to my tone. Can't emphasize enough the friendliness and approachability of the company and the assistance Jack gave me over the phone, listening exactly to the sound I was looking for and advising from there.Again, I'm NOT a slide player and this pedal is just remarkable....will probably try and learn some slide now too.....
