Greetings from Tromsø, Norway! I’m a University student that play gigs in my free time, and I’m also playing in the local church. I mostly enjoy playing Blues/Jazz, but can’t help rocking out to Led Zeppelin from time to time! I’ve been drooling over the “RevivalDRIVE” for so long now and finally, it’s here! You guys make incredible pedals and I’m honoured for the shout out!
My “Origin journey” started, like so many, with the Cali76. I fell completely in love with it and got myself a Cali76 TX-L compressor. I must admit I was a bit sceptic about the size of the pedal, but when it arrived and I plugged it in, I didn’t think twice about removing some pedals to make it fit onto the board. It made every pedal on my board sound better! So when you guys announced that you were making an overdrive pedal, I knew I needed it.I was worried about the Revivaldrive being complicated, but I was pleased to see that there were “suggested settings” in the RD manual. So I dialled in the Jimi Hendrix settings, turned it on, and bam! my 100% clean Two Rock Classic Reverb 100W, was suddenly sounding like a cranked Marshall amp, with every knob turned to 11! It was amazing! I haven’t got that good first impression of any pedal I’ve played. I’ve played through a lot of overdrives, but I knew this was something special.
I’ve been scaling down my guitar equipment for a while now, so I made my own Pedalboard. It was specifically designed to have enough room for the Cali76 and the RD, as I knew those would stay on my board.Pedal chain:
