The SlideRIG Compact Deluxe Mk2 is a dual-stage compressor pedal, using two of our Cali76 compressor circuits cascaded in series for the ultimate compressed guitar tone. Based on the iconic Urei® 1176®, we’ve taken this studio classic to the next level of compression and flexibility.

SlideRIG Compact Deluxe Mk2 brings classic studio sound to your pedalboard with an exacting recreation of a timeless tone. SlideRIG lets you layer your dry signal with the compressed outputs from each of two stacked Cali76 stages, for the ultimate in parallel compression. A must-have effect for slide players, SlideRIG is equally comfortable with conventional guitar setups, offering thick, fat sustain with perfect clarity.

THE DETAILS:

Back in 2012, Origin Effects’ first pedal, the SlideRIG was released. Inspired by the Little Feat frontman Lowell George, who created his trademark slide tones by recording through a pair of Urei® 1176® compressors chained together, the SlideRIG’s unique “clean overdrive” capabilities brought this coveted sound to the pedalboards of modern slide players. The SlideRIG Compact Deluxe Mk2 is the latest evolution of this game-changing pedal, adding greater control and flexibility to this classic recipe. 

The SlideRIG Compact Deluxe Mk2 gives you full control over the signal routing options available in the pedal. The STAGE 1, STAGE 2 and DRY controls let you mix between series and parallel compression, balancing massive sustain and natural dynamics. Alongside the MASTER, INPUT and ATT/REL controls, it is easy to fine-tune the character and level of the two compression stages. Using the same studio-grade FET circuitry as the renowned Cali76, this low-noise, Class-A design delivers a musically responsive compression that preserves and enhances your tone. 

Housed in a hand polished, brushed stainless steel enclosure and furnished with aluminium controls, Neutrik® jack sockets and heavy-duty footswitch, the SlideRIG Compact Deluxe Mk2 is equally at home on the road and in the studio.

Please note: the SlideRIG Compact Deluxe Mk2 is powered by a mains adaptor only (not included). We’ve dispensed with the usual 9V battery option, both to save space and to allow us to adopt a high-current approach, yielding lower noise levels and superior tone.

Origin Effects pedals are designed to deliver impeccable performance using a range of power supplies. We recommend you only use a regulated power supply specifically designed for guitar pedal applications as power supplies which do not have sufficient internal filtering can result in unwanted noise.

We recommend the following power supplies for use with our pedals:

Operating this pedal with an 18V power supply will give the most headroom, allowing for higher levels of compression before clipping occurs.
